Now I know this is going to sound stupid, but I'm actually doing research on Alchemy and if it actually does exist. I've read up that Isaac Newton studied Alchemy for 4 years, when he wasn't doing anything to do with science. I've found a few articles on Alchemy and I came across one that looked like an old structure telling you the base of Alchemy. I've tried converting it and it has came out like this.
Quote:
Take Reddish Rich Virgin Earth in Decomposition through Calcination, impregnate it with Gold, Silver, Serene and Dew, till the end of May. Then imbribe sprinklingly with dew gathered in May and dry in Gold, expose all Night to the Silver and Air, securing it from Rain. Still when it is dry, imbibe and turn the Earth often. Continue this sublimation. The Hot Gold (especially in Dog-Days) will make a Pure Salt shoot up, which mingle back into the Earth, by turning it all over. Then distil by graduated Fira as Aqua Fortis forcing all the spirits…

Gather Pure, Untouched Red Earth in Decomposition through Calcination (to convert into calx by heating or burning), adding Gold, and Silver, letting it be Serene. Collect Dew until the end of May. Imbibe with Dew gathered in May, and dry the gold, exposing it all night to the silver and air, securing it from Rain. When it is dry, imbibe further more and turn the Earth often. Continue this until sublimation. The hot sun (especially in the Summer), will make Sodium Chloride shoot up, which mingle back into the Earth, by turning it all over. Then distil by graduating Fire as Aqua Fortis (“Strong Water”) forcing all the Sulphur (?).
Edit:

Examples of chemical decomposition reactions common in calcination processes, and their respective thermal decomposition temperatures include:
· CaCO3 = CaO + CO2; 848°C

I'm still trying to find the last bit of this and I was wondering if anyone knows where it could be. Heck, even if you gave a little bit of information it would do greatly.
Thanks. |

Well basically trying to understand the conversion part explained above the edit. There is still some text missing and I know that the melting point for gold ore is at 1300°C...

That just shows how Calcium Carbonate spontaneously decomposes into Calcium Oxide and Carbon Dioxide... Unles I'm mis-understanding you, which I probably am... I know nothing about Alchemy... xD
