Hi, just brought a new PSP and I have heard that you can downgrade. I don't know what this means. Does anyone know what it means or if it is possible to do it on the PSP?

Yes yes you can downgrade. Downgrading is like...taking down whatever security improvements SONY has been putting on the upgrades. There are some poeple who hack and read the new upgrades so you can downgrade it for homebrew software and such =D

Nope it doesn't cost anything. You can upgrade right off of your PSP in you have a wi fi connection. It should be all the way to the left on the main menu thingy with the icons.

Or

you could go on the the main PSP site to upgrade...You might need to Google to find degrade sites
