So I'm about to buy a PSP. I've been surfing the web all day reading up on homebrew stuff and it's got me really intruiged. But even after all that reading I don't exactly grasp what I need to do to soup my PSP up.
Basically what I need to know... is what are the bare minimums I need to do to be able to play PSX games on my portable? |

| First of all, you need a big memory stick, preferably 2GB, if you want to store multiple games at once. You also should look for as low a firmware number as possible, these are more likely to be downgradable. The firmware you need to run homebrew is 1.5 but you wont find a 1.5 for sale. Look for a 2.71 or lower, this will be ideal for downgrading. Then search www.google.com for a downgrader, and then you'll need an emulator and some PSX game files. There are loads of guides on the net, so you just need to search around. |

| There is no way to play homebrew on versions higher that 2.00, unless somehow you get a flash emulator which I am always dreaming of... |
