Was Kevin Bacon really the best choice for this movie? The director is great

I haven't seen the movie, but based on the trailer I do like one trait in particular that Kevin Bacon seems able to bring to this character: self-loathing.
There are parts in the trailer where he seems to feel completely impotent, in particular in expressing how he just wants it all to stop. I think that's important to support the idea that this is a character who had circumstances forced upon him, as opposed to someone who is perfectly comfortable with violence and was just waiting for a good excuse to lash out. |
