Microsoft and Yahoo recently announced that they will be enabling their Instant Messaging services to communicate with each other. This of course means that YIM and MSNM users will be able to communicate with each other. This partnership is intended to provide America On-Line with more competition. AOL Instant Messenger has more users than both YIM and MSNM combined, and this partnership is intended to put an end to that.
