First thing that comes to mind is why the group got split up from the plane. Why did Hurley, Jack and Kate end up ON the island and the rest of the plane ( including SUN ) on another? Was that just the way it happened or are Hurley, Jack and Kate "chosen".
Additionally, why is Sun and the rest of the group at the current time? They didn't travel back in time.. wierd.
