I WAS DOWNGRADING FROM 2.8 TO 1.5 LAST NIGHT AND THE DIRECTIONS WERE WRONG. MY PSP BRICKED. IT IS A WEIRD BRICK. THE SCREEN STAYS BLACK AND THE ONLY LIGHT THAT LIGHTS UP IS THE POWER LIGHT, BUT THE SCREEN NEVER LIGHTS UP.

ANYONE WHO CAN HELP ME, PLEASE MESSAGE ME OR POST BACK, I NEED MY PSP BACK!

If you've brikced your PSP there isnt much chance of getting it back legally. This happened to me, you can send your PSP back to SONY for a new firmware chip and it costs 115 GBP. Best choice for you mate is to go on ebay and buy a second hand PSP for £90 or so. I picked one up the other day for £90 with £10 P&P.

You can also sell bricked PSPs on ebay for £50+ if they are otherwise in good condition. A load of people are looking for spares after scratching their screen etc so you'll be able to buy a new PSP for aound £100 and sell your old one for at least £50. I wouldn't suggest sendind your PSP of to someone to get it unbricked when you can get a new one for the same price (if you sell your old one)
