Resetting BIOS leads to loss of data? O_o

I reset my BIOS a few days ago, and when I went back in my comp, some things had changed, mainly my firefox browser. what happened?



1.) my bookmarks all disappeared. every single of them.

2.) all my quicksearch engines have disappeared. that includes the Google and dictionary.com search its suppose to come with. wtf happened?



I heard resetting your BIOS shouldnt affect anything. yes, Im pretty sure it was my BIOS, because its the first thing I noticed upon re-entering windows. Oh, and I tried reinstalling firefox too to no avail.
