Subbing vs. Dubbing

I somehow got the idea in school this year that for my final project in Japanese class I would talk about the difference in subbing and dubbing. BIG MISTAKE. Turns out that academic articles relating this topic are few and far between.
I thought I'd completely screwed myself over, when I realized that it makes much more sense to take this question right to the people who have an actually vocation and passion for anime.

So I pose you these eternal questions:

1.Do you prefer subbing or dubbing?
2.a)If you chose subbing, why?
2.b)If you chose dubbing, why?
3.What do you hate about either?
4.Do you like or dislike the changes often made in anime when it is dubbed for a North American audience?

Answer whichever of these you want in any way you want! All your answers are appreciate. *bows profusely*

I like subbing because when some animes are dubbed, the important details are toned down like in the case of CCS.

Subbing because the quality is better, the voices are better, and nothing is edited out.

Most animes,I prefer subbing.But some I like the dubbed version better.I just wish that whenever they dub an anime,they wouldn't cut stuff out!>.<

it depends on the voices
for example
Naruto Dub sucks
Bleach Dub is tolerable ^^
Chrno Crusade's dyb ducks though
Rosette needs to be more vicious

Personally, I hate the Bleach dub. I think they could've done a far better job casting the voice actors.
