I was playing Monster Hunter yesterday and the screen goes black. I tried turning the PSP on and off but that didn't work. It appears that the PSP no longer recognizes that the UMD drive exists. I don't get a "disc read error" message or any message for that matter.
ANYTHING would be very appreciated. |

If anyone else has this problem...
I fixed it by simply physically removing the battery from the psp. Once the battery was back in I turned the power on and it found the UMD. I guess it reset. |

Bad news...It quit working again.
Talked to the GameStop boys and they said the PSP is fragged when the UMD does that.
Send it in or buy a new one. |
