women and film project- femenism and female directors

Hello,

My name is Rachel and as part of my A Level media studies course I have to do a large research topic and as a subject I’ve decided to base mine on the fall female directors and the effects of the feminist movement.
I have put together a questionnaire with some fairly detailed questions, if you have any time to spare please take a look and complete it. Feel free to disagree with what I have stated and share your own opinions as it would help me learn more about this complex issue, thank you.

As the numbers of successful high-profile female directors in Hollywood seem as the minority, why do you think they thrive in art house/ independent theatre?
